If your mortgage has been miscalculated then you could be owed compensation.
Your mortgage provider or your broker, depending how you obtained your mortgage, would have to pay out compensation. But don’t worry, if you currently have that mortgage it doesn’t give them reasonable grounds to alter your current contract.
If you don’t have a copy of your mortgage paperwork to hand. No problem!
All we need is the name of the mortgage provider and a few simple questions about the mortgage then we do the rest.
If you’ve been forced to sell your home or downsize because you couldn’t afford it, there is a very strong likelihood you may of been mis sold your mortgage.
If you no longer live with the person you took the mortgage out with we can still process the claim as long as both parties can provide a signature. Both parties have an equal right to claim, however, one person can take lead and deal with the claim from there on.
The mortgage provider or your broker would be eligible to pay, however if the company that sold you your mortgage doesn’t trade anymore it may be possible to make a claim against the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
